I am back at work and it hasn't been too bad. I have a great boss! The first thing he did is come up with a plan for me that was different then the things I was doing before. He left it wide open for me to do whatever I needed to slowly get back in the groove. God bless you John! I'm not sure if I could have done it any other way, God is still carrying me through. I have been cooking evening meals lately and that is a very different role for me. The kids eat the food which is a good sign since they are fairly picky. They are still thriving though they have their breakdowns just like me from time to time. Mya fell in the shower tonight and it scared me to death because of the scream she let out. Those of you with kids understand the difference between a complaining cry and a serious one. This one was no doubt serious. She had hit the bathtub spout right behind her ear hard enough to for it to bleed a little. She was so proud to show Tate the blood on the toilet paper. She calmed down quickly and went to sleep without a problem so it turned out all right. Of course there was a "Hello Kitty" band aid that brought the most comfort. Life is happening again and it is starting to feel a little different. The new normal is on its way...

Glad to read your post tonight Ryan.
Bless you......so much in raising kids and I know you are doing a great job and it must be very hard. Just hang in there!! Prayers your way. Glad you were able to feel fairly well about your work today.
Ryan-my husband is currently deployed overseas and as I enter into each day knowing I'm in this alone for the next little while I often turn my thoughts to you and how overwhelming it must feel to start each day knowing this is your life now. There is no countdown to a return date or the waiting by the phone for a call to hold you over until the next one. Each time I think of this at first my heart aches for you and then I realize there's no need for sadness, God has such a marvelous plan for you and you are so willing to follow it and live it that you are bound to be greatly rewarded for your commitment to His plan. Others have had the opportunity to grow closer to God and take a closer look at their own spiritual relationship from reading your posts-for that I thank you. I'm so happy to hear your new normal is on its way, embrace it and enjoy every second of it. Live in the right now!

I,too, just think you are a great dad and are doing well considering it all. How great that you have a good boss!! That means a lot. Good luck with the "new normal". It's terrific that you can see it that way because that is progress. You have great faith and a good family...you'll do well!!
Praise the Lord for this!
We are keeping praying for you.

God has blessed you with a great boss. I am glad you are back at work and trying to get in a routine. I am also glad the kids eat your cooking! :) Have an awesome day!
Love you, Linda
I'm so glad that you guys are getting back into some kind of routine which will take some of the grief away over time. It won't ever be easy but God is with you and starting to show you the way.
The new normal is setting in and you, my friend, seem to be adjusting fine. Keep up your new routines. I think they will help a lot!
Prayers are sent your way, often.

Whatever your cross
Whatever your pain
There will always be sunshine
After the rain
Perhaps you may stumble
Perhaps even fall
But God's always there
To help you through it all
That is great news! I agree, you are a great dad. God and Kaci are smiling down on you and are very proud for your accomplishments.
This may sound strange but I think it's great your posts are becoming less and less frequent. I know what it's like to be a single parent and I was always so tired at the end of the day...I just wanted to rest! You are busy living your life and being a wonderful father...and that's exactly what you should be doing. You are out LIVING your life and not just existing...and that's awesome! I'm proud of you..keep it up!
And proud of that bandaid she was! She told us all today the whole story!

God bless you, Ryan Ronne!! You are a shining example of what all of us should strive to be. You are human and have your struggles, but you always seem to rise up in God's glory. You are a fine young man, and I am honored to know you and awed by your ability to find the 'silver lining.' Living life is all about finding God's silver lining to those dark clouds.
I am glad you went back to work! I know things aren't great for you in your life losing Kaci. But there are so many blessings still in your life. Hang on to those blessings and God will carry you through. Still praying for your family daily! Funny about the bandaid! I always had this fear when my son was little that he would slip in the tub and crack a tooth. haha Glad she is ok! Loved their halloween costumes! Jen
Ryan - I have just found your blog. While you and your wife's story makes my heart break, your faith has been so uplifting for me. You are truly a godly man, and I think you have no idea how your words and story inspire other people, to be better people. You and your family are in my prayers.
May the creative spirit He has given you begin to steadily revive again and may this Gift He has given you, again bring you joy. May it also help heal your broken-ness. God bless your steps as you carefully trod on this "new-normal" path He is guiding you on.
He loves you and your children.
